Justyna Isobel Matejek Counselling in Colchester, Essex
A few words about me
I am a qualified Counsellor, accredited by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP, lecturer, and dance and movement therapist, based in Colchester, Essex. I specialize in healing from long-term trauma and PTSD.
I work with survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence, and I am a counsellor for CARA, Essex.
I teach counselling and facilitate counselling students in Process Groups.
Over 2000 hours of supervised counselling work, and continuous development of skills and practice give a foundation for trust and highly professional service.
I help increase the quality of life, reconnect with a true self (empowerment) and live more fulfilling, and contented life. An essential aspect of my work is non-duality, which means that the mind is not separate from the body. In fact, body listening is a big part of my approach. Understanding emotions, somatic presence, energetic healing.
My work is based on a humanistic-existential approach, highly influenced by pioneers in the field such as Gabor Mate, Bessel Van der Kolk, Janina Fisher, Mick Cooper, and Irvin Yalom.
I offer face-to-face and online sessions.
